We regret to announce the passing away of Mr. Reuben Muchene Njuguna of Rosedale, Baltimore MD (USA). That occurred on Tuesday March 17th 2009 in his sleep. He is a dear friend to Zipporah “zippy”Wangari mwangi, a loving father to Joshua Gitau Muchene 1.5 yr old all of Baltimore MD. He is a dear son to Mr. Stephen Gitau Njuguna and Mrs. Ruth Nduta, brother to Johnston Muthiora, and William Njuguna all of Seattle Washington (USA). He is a cousin to John Muthiora (Virginia USA), Mumbi Hinga, Jeannette both of Seattle Washington, William Njuguna (Atlanta) Damaris Njuguna (Texas) and many more. He is a nephew to Salome Wanjiku (Virginia), Njeri Njuguna, Wairimu, Peter Muchene Njuguna all of Seattle and many more.

   it is my greatest regret to inform you of the untimely death of Alexander Waganjo Njuguna, 29yrs of Baltimore Maryland USA by way of Nairobi Kenya.. Alex is the son of Rose Njeri Njuguna of Baltimore. As far as we know right now, Alex was murdered by unknown assailants in his apartment sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning of this week. The police will give us more information hopefully by Tuesday.
    We are currently meeting at Rose's home (his Mom) in Baltimore as we try to come to grips with this terrible tragedy. We are requesting all Kenyans our friends everywhere, wherever you are, to join us in prayer and also in comforting and assisting Rose to take care of the expenses of the funeral and burial which will take place in Kenya some time within the next 2 weeks.

THE LATE Dr. MWANGI KARANGU 

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Dr. Mwangi Karangu on March 10th, 2008.

Prior to his demise he was a distinguished professor of economics and statistics at Morgan State University, Baltimore Maryland and at Coppin State University where he was an adjunct professor.

Over his lifetime Dr Karangu made immense contribution to his Kenyan/Africa community as well as other minority groups. Dr Karangu cherished the value of education and was vocal in encouraging young minds to pursue education to the highest echelon of academia. He is credited to have been directly and indirectly involved in bringing a lot of Kenyans to the USA to further their education. Dr Karangu wore many hearts, namely: father, grandfather, teacher, mentor, counselor, elder, role model and community leader.
