 It was March 1995 on a Wednesday, just after midnight. Mike Rua lay awake, waiting for his mother to fall asleep. When he was sure everybody was sleeping, he stealthily sneaked out of the house, walking close to 3km to the church. His mother was the church custodian, and Rua had ‘borrowed’ the keys from her bag.

"Scared out of my wits, but still determined, I groped in the dark, using the benches and walls to make my way into the church’s music room. I fumbled with the keys and opened the door to the room. When I held and finally strung the church guitar in my back, I felt a whole new sense of beginning," he adds. The controversial singer had just started a new life. Kirima in London disowns 3rd wife Teresiah

There was a dramatic twist in the Kirima family saga after video footage reportedly recorded in London showed Kirima denouncing his third wife Teresia Wairimu. The video recording provided by the children of the first and second wives shows Kirima claiming that he had been coerced and tricked into signing letters of authority to allow Wairimu to run his business empire. Kirima further claims that he had come to realise that Teresina's main aim was to take control of his business empire.

Kenyan banks are tightening their systems against a new wave of global cyber crime that has seen thousands of British online bank customers lose savings to criminals in one of the most sophisticated attacks of its kind.

The fraudsters used a malicious computer programme that hides on home computers to steal confidential passwords and account details from at least 3,000 people.

Police in Mwanza, Tanzania, have arrested a Kenyan on allegations of attempting to sell a fellow Kenyan who is an albino.

According to Tanzanian police, the incident took place at a guest house in Mwanza town.
Mwanza regional police commander, Mr Simon Siro, who confirmed the developments, said Mr Nathan Mutei,28, allegedly attempted to sell Mr Robinson Mkwama, 20, for Tanzanian Sh400 million. (KSh22m)

APs snatch colleague from police station

The APs sped from Kileleshwa Police Station having rescued their colleague. The 15 APs, armed with G3 rifles, stormed the station, catching their counter parts off-guard at 7.40 pm on Sunday. The freed AP sergeant had been booked at the station the previous day on charges of helping two suspects to escape from.....
