Men who live off women
Last Updated on Monday, 30 August 2010 11:59 Written by kenyanschat Monday, 30 August 2010 11:50

What happened to the good old days of old-fashioned love? This is a question that many women ponder today. Back in the 70’s and 80’s, the dating game was played very differently. Roles in relationships were very clearly defined, and it was unheard of for a woman to pay a man’s way - in whatever form. But all this has changed now, and more and more women are paying bills for their men. Some men are very comfortable with this, and are not about to change their cosy arrangements. They feel nothing about having a girlfriend or wife supporting them.

Kenyan blogger Ory Okolloh has lit a fire under the African blogosphere with her posts about politics, human rights and other controversial issues.
Better known as "Kenyan Pundit" -- the name of her blog where she writes about politics, her country and the continent -- Okolloh is part of a band of pioneers striving to change the stereotypes about Africa by giving people easy access to information. Kenyans abroad regain citizenship
Friday, 27 August 2010 07:46

Kenyans in the diaspora who had abandoned their citizenship have regained their citizenship following the coming into force of the country's new Constitution. All they now need to do is apply for a Kenyan identity. At the same time, it is now not mandatory that foreigners married to Kenyans lose their citizenship if the marriage ceases to exist.
Children born to a Kenyan citizen – either mother or father – outside the country are recognised by the Constitution as citizens. This also applies to those who may have been born outside the country before August 27 even if their parents had dumped their Kenyan citizenship.
